The Friends of St Nicholas was formed in 1995, to raise funds to help keep the 900-year-old church of St Nicholas in good repair for present-day use and future generations. All the fundraising is directed towards the fabric and maintenance of this Grade II*- listed building. We do not fund the day-to-day running of the church. The churchyard and parish burial ground are maintained by the Great Wakering Parish Council.
Friends of St Nicholas have a programme of fund raising events, activities and outings.
